On Saturday, 2 March, we went plastic fishing on Fish Hoek beach again and we were joined by some of you and your tribe. Thanks to all the volunteers and we just love seeing the dedicated regular attendees ;) Keep up the fantastic work!
We started our cleanup at 9 am and shortly after it was clear, that cigarette butts are one of the most common items found on the beach today. We decided to get them all together and create something positive, check out what we came up with:

Our plastic fish in March turned out pretty good and in the true sense of the word we call him fish "Hoek". How do you like Hoek the fish?
Besides all the butts, we found straws, plastic cutlery, plastic bottles, lots of small sweaty packaging, bottle caps, something that looked like Santa's belt....oh and a handful of adorable tiny shells, but see for yourself in the gallery below.
Next Fish Hoek Beach Cleanup is on Saturday, 6 April, 9 am - 12 pm. We are there to provide you with free gloves and bags and everyone is welcome to join, so bring your whole tribe along!
Thank you and we see you on the beach!
